EV Charging in the Philippines: Statistics & Data (2026)
The numbers behind the Philippines' electric-vehicle shift — how many EVs are on the road, how many public chargers exist, and the gap between them. Free to use and cite, with sources. Last updated July 2026.
The public charging network
As of March 2026, the Department of Energy counted about 1,569 public charging points nationwide, operated by roughly 169 accredited providers. Here is how that network breaks down by charger type:

Private networks add further capacity — for example, SM reports 183 charging stations across 84 properties, and ACMobility more than 200 locations nationwide (2026).

The charging gap
With more than 60,000 EVs and about 1,569 public charging points, there are roughly 38 EVs for every public charger — and because EV sales are outpacing charger deployment, that ratio is widening. Public chargers are also concentrated in Metro Manila and a few urban centres (Cebu and Davao being the main regional hubs), so coverage thins quickly outside the cities. The government's CREVI roadmap targets 7,300 charging stations by 2028, and projections see up to 6.6 million EVs on Philippine roads by 2030.
