1. Overview
EVChargePH (“we”) respects your privacy and handles personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines.
2. Information we collect
Account details (name or username, email, phone); booking details (your vehicle plate number, dates, and the charger booked); reviews you post; and — only with your permission — your device location to show nearby chargers. Owners also provide their charger and location details.
3. How we use your data
To run the marketplace: create your account, match drivers with owners, process bookings and payments, show chargers near you, prevent fraud, and contact you about your bookings.
4. Sharing
We share only what a booking needs — a driver’s name and plate number with the owner of the booked charger, and the charger’s details with the driver — plus data with the service providers that run our platform (for example Supabase for our database and PayMongo for payments). We do not sell your personal data.
5. Location
Your location is used only to find chargers near you and is requested with your consent.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as the law requires, then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies, analytics & local storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These tools may record anonymised usage and interaction data; they do not collect your passwords or payment details.
